Preflight Checklist

What's Wrong?

First, I'm accessing Claude Code via the iOS app.

Like others, I've just had critical sessions I was just using deleted and gone.

But the new aspect is I then started a brand new session, left for 5 minutes, came back and it was gone as well.

I cannot trust Claude Code as things sit for anything important at all.

And the cost financially of paying for all of that compute, just to have it deleted is almost enough to bankrupt me.

I am seriously failing to see the appeal here. Of the promise? Yes. But not the reality so far.

What Should Happen?

What should happen is that a minimum 30 day retention policy should actually mean you retain it for 30 days minimum. And put some poor intern or something on digging through the recent deletes, find all that was screwed up, and restore them, like an ethical business would. Anthropic has always struck me as ethical, so, your move.

Steps to Reproduce

Start a new session in the app, say one thing, leave, go into another session, return to find the new one gone.

I don't know what else to tell you.
