"Create PR" button missing in Claude Code web UI after push
Open 💬 38 comments Opened Mar 2, 2026 by tom-pang
Bug report
After Claude Code on iOS completes work — commits and pushes to a remote branch — the UI shows a section at the bottom that appears to be where a "Create PR" button should render, but no button is actually present.
Steps to reproduce
- Use Claude Code on iOS
- Have Claude make changes, commit, and push to a feature branch
- Observe the bottom of the session after the push completes
Expected behavior
A "Create PR" button should appear, allowing the user to quickly open a pull request for the branch that was just pushed.
Actual behavior
The area where the button should be is visible but empty — no button renders. The user has to manually navigate to GitHub to create the PR.

Same here. Thanks for the quick bug report.

Same
Same issue and asking it to create the PR is futile.
Same.
Really messes up mobile workflow without this 🙏
Me too!
Same here on iPadOs 26.3
Same here. Any plans to fix this?
Me too :(
same on android as well
I'm Missing this from IOS version as well
+1
Having the issue too...
Same in Android
Me too in iOS. It was working. Major slow down going thru the GitHub app.
Does Claude no longer integrate with GitHub? 😱
+1 for iOS
same, was this intentional? huge setback in UX
This is such a critical feature to be able to do work without my laptop - why is it missing all of a sudden? My frustration stems from few things -
The alternative right now is to use Claude Code (Web) from your smartphone's browser. The "Create PR" button is present there.
Claude Code Web created the button for me and I was able to have it create a PR. I then asked for more changes, but the button is now View PR, pointing back to the first PR. I cannot get it to create a second PR.

This was always the case. You should create a new session once a PR is already created.
Would be nice if we could ask further changes and either update the unmerged PR or create a new one, indeed.
It would also be nice if the UI told us this before we asked for more changes. This dovetails with a recent twitter discussion about discoverability and usability issues across the Anthropic suite of tools. In addition, the LLMs in the tools are not always aware of these changes.
looks like this has been fixed on iOS
Looks like it's fixed on Android as well
I'm still seeing a, case where this exists, on android app.
Claude makes changes and the create pr button appears.
I don't press it, but ask for refinement.
Claude makes further changes.
Button no longer appears. If I ask Claude to create the pr, it tries lots of ways, but fails.
Same happens for me on ios.
I feel a lot of wasted tokens on some of the post "pr created" situations
And it's not working anymore on iOS app again... how have they not figured that out after weeks......
It is not working for me in the web, but in Android it is
I’ve only started using the iOS app in the past week. The buttons were there the first couple days reliably. May have something to do with the number of conversations. Now they’re gone and can’t get it back. And if it shows a diff. The changes are usually from a completely different branch or a mixture of branches (bizarre context)
Button is missing again. iOS 1.260316.1 23218829897
This may have been intentionally removed due to a related issue.
When working in a mono repo starting from a branch rather than master. Claude correctly creates a branch that targets the other branch which in turn targets master.
On Claude desktop (even if you started work on mobile) the create PR feature worked perfectly.
However on mobile the create PR button incorrectly creates a PR with master as the base.
Strange they worked differently as you would assume it is backend that does the work but perhaps mobile messed up and env var.
Anyway, you can imagine that some unfortunates may have failed to notice and merged with nasty consequences. Of course we would not and we all have branch protections in place to cover all this risk yeah!
Let's hope the PR button returns soon.
No, I get it sometimes. It's not quite the repeatable scenario I mentioned, but if I just prompt, and wait, I seem to get the pr link every time. If I then reply, it's hit and miss whether the button remains
I haven't seen it in 3-4 days on mobile
