[BUG] Theme selection text is unreadable in VS Code integrated terminal

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

During the initial setup / theme selection prompt (/theme), several menu options are nearly unreadable in the VS Code integrated terminal. The text color for options 1 (Dark mode, currently selected), 3 (Dark mode colorblind-friendly), and 6 (Light mode ANSI colors only) blends into the dark terminal background, making them impossible or very difficult to read.

What Should Happen?

All theme option labels should be legible regardless of the terminal background color.
