Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I have three machines on the LAN. All three have Claude code and Claude in chrome. Today, while debugging an issue on my laptop with Claude in chrome- a Claude in chrome window started being controlled on my desktop.

I have a fair number of "Claude in Chrome not connected" issues, but this is not that. It's connected alright. it's connected to the wrong machine. I have NO idea how this is working. I usually have to deal with a socket in /tmp/ to try to clean up bad Claude<>Chrome connections. It looks like there's a fallback to go across Anthropic's servers?

Anyway, you should know this happens now.

What Should Happen?

Claude in Chrome should open and be operated on the same machine as the Claude Code driving it.

Error Messages/Logs

None. It's technically working, just somehow remote controlling a different machine.

Steps to Reproduce

No idea. I am just happy Claude in Chrome works at all.

Claude Model

Opus

Is this a regression?

I don't know
