/skills command list not navigable with arrow keys

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Feb 13, 2026 by fkhawajagh Closed Feb 17, 2026

Description

The /skills command displays a list of available skills, but arrow keys (up/down) produce no response when attempting to navigate the list. No feedback of any kind is given when pressing arrow keys.

Other slash commands like /plugins and /agents allow normal arrow key and tab navigation as expected.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch claude
  2. Type /skills
  3. Attempt to navigate the list using up/down arrow keys
  4. Observe: no movement, no feedback

Expected Behavior

Arrow keys should navigate through the skills list, consistent with /plugins and /agents behavior.

Environment

Tested and reproduced across all of the following — same behavior in every case:

  • Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) via SSH from Windows Terminal, both inside and outside tmux
  • macOS (MacBook) using Ghostty terminal

This is not environment-specific.
