[BUG] Shell Commands take too much time

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Sometime, simple commands like git status --short takes minutes. I'm not sure if it's because commands are queued up ( atleast I don't see a queue ).

I've noticed this very frequently. Seemingly simple commands like git log takes over a minute.

What Should Happen?

Simple commands should execute much faster.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

I'm not sure how to reproduce this. It happens on arbirary commands. I've mostly seen this on git commands, but rarely on other commands too.

It's worth asking claude to analyse git logs. Hopefully a couple tries might re-produce this.
