[BUG] Startup crashes on "illegal hardware instruction"

What's Wrong?

Installed claude code native: curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash. When launching claude I get:

[1]    45596 illegal hardware instruction  claude

Switching to the deprecated node build solved the problem but I want the native for /fast mode.

• Version: 2.1.39
• OS: 15.3.1 (24D70), Apple M4 Pro, 48 GB | Version 15.3.1 (24D70)
• shell: zsh

Looks like this was previously happening in some capacity and fixed but now it is not working again for me: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/19907

What Should Happen?

Should be able to launch claude
