Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

First off, I <3 Claude Code, and run 1-3 instances as part of my daily work (although 3 really taxes my system). It's become an incredibly important part of my workflow ...

... which is why it's so frustrating that recently Claude has decided to stop talking to me. It used to say what files it was working on, but now it just says "5 files" (or whatever number) without explaining what it's working on.

Look, Claude is _very_ smart, but as a developer I do still have to manage it. I need to stop it, multiple times a day, from doing the wrong thing.

If I can't see what it's doing, I can't stop it, and (quite literally) the only way to find out is to let Claude go nuts, ruin everything, and find out when I view the diff at the end (even if the first 95% of what Claude did was right, I'll now have to start things all over, because now everything is broken ... and I couldn't stop Claude from breaking it).

PLEASE, bring back the ability to "watch" Claude as it works!

What Should Happen?

I should see the list of files Claude is changing. This isn't rocket science ... it isn't even really UI design ... it's just _not_ making worse what you already had right.
