This error appears to occur with Sonnet.
I was able to work around it by using Haiku or Opus with the /model command.

For workaround, you can uninstall the latest claude code and install the previous claude code version to resolve this issue.

For example - npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code@1
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code@[version]

It also only seems to impact Claude Code (both local and the claude.ai/code web version) and not the desktop app.

It's only Sonnet model. So if you use haiku or opus, you can use claude.

The bug is just for Sonnet. Use Opus or Haiku as quick fix.

Opus... I'm not made of money 😆. Yes, switched to Haiku now and subscribed to updates.
