[BUG] Claude Code no longer has a CLI button!

What's Wrong?

I upgraded to Claude for Mac 1.1.2685 (f39a62) a few hours ago, and I noticed that the CLI button has been completely removed from all Claude sessions. It's just... not there any more. See screenshot.

I asked Claude Chat about it. Claude Chat responded that the CLI had been deliberately removed from Claude Code in Claude for Mac, and confidently instructed me to enter any CLI commands, like /clear, in the chat window including the forward slash. I did so and Claude Code... didn't respond at all.

I asked Claude Code whether it had processed my CLI command, and it informed me that the message was received as a chat message, that Claude Code responded by treating it as a skill, and that because /clear was not a recognized skill, Claude Code had ignored it.

So it looks like there are three problems here - the removal of the CLI, Claude Chat providing totally incorrect information, and Claude Code silently dropping commands.

What Should Happen?

Main Issue: The CLI button should appear in Claude Code sessions as it did before.

Secondary Issue #1: Claude Chat should do research before providing information confidently when that information may be incorrect.

Secondary Issue #2: Claude Code should not silently drop commands that it doesn't know how to handle.
