[BUG] Crashes with timeout error when attempting to edit `.md` files

Environment

• Claude CLI version: 1.0.29
• Operating System: macOS 15.5
• Terminal: iTerm2

Bug Description

I'm running into an issue where Claude Code keeps crashing whenever it tries to edit markdown files. This has happened twice now, specifically when it attempts to update README.md.

Actual Behavior

1. I'm in the middle of a Claude Code session
2. Claude tries to edit a .md file (in this case, README.md)
3. Shows a prompt asking if I want to make the edit
4. Before I can even respond, Claude Code throws a timeout error and completely exits the session
