@ file completion indexing is slow on optimal hardware

Environment

• Mac mini M4 Pro (14 cores, 64GB RAM)
• macOS 26.2
• Claude Code 2.1.30
• Monorepo project (~3GB)

Issue

@ file completion/recommendation feature is notably slow to respond, despite excellent system resources and no detected bottlenecks.

Observations

• Hardware metrics all optimal (CPU/memory/disk)
• No network issues
• Feature works but with significant delay
• Other VSCode features perform normally

Hypothesis

This appears to be an indexing or caching issue in Claude Code rather than a system limitation.
