I see this in Wezterm, kitty, and foot. It's most severe on Linux SBCs but I also experience it on apple silicon. It's not WSL specific. Any long context terminal scroll back to render seems to cause it.
I am getting this as well using ghostty on apple silicon. Very annoying issue I hope it gets prioritized

I've seen this repro easily on the windows platform. Eventually you cannot even type a single character in the terminal without a 2-5 second delay. The only fix is to restart the terminal.

Guys, its getting unusable! Also Ghostty and M2 Pro here.
Sometimes up to a second lag on keyboard input. Quitting out of Claude Code, and resuming the session helps, but only temporarily. Indeed, it seems linked to how much content in the current conversation.
Confirming on Windows 11
Environment:
Observation:
Input lag is noticeable from the start, not just over time. Can significantly out-type the character rendering speed - characters appear noticeably behind keystrokes.
Context:
This appeared after updating to latest version. Previous versions did not have this level of input lag.
System state during lag:
Happening here through SSH to an Ubuntu box using git bash in windows 10.
This was not happening before the CLI was updated recently.
It's the same on Linux.
