[DOCS] /passes command documented but does not exist

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 26, 2026 by joshuagoran Closed Jan 30, 2026

Documentation Type

Incorrect/outdated documentation

Documentation Location

https://support.claude.com/en/articles/12875061-claude-code-guest-passes

Section/Topic

Guest Passes - How to view passes

Current Documentation

"View your available guest passes in Claude Code (using the /passes command) or in your Claude settings under 'Claude Code.'"

What's Wrong or Missing?

The /passes command does not exist in Claude Code. When running the command, users receive:

Unknown skill: passes

The documentation references a slash command that is not implemented, leaving Max subscribers unable to access their guest passes through the CLI as documented.

Suggested Improvement

Either:

  1. Implement the /passes command in Claude Code, or
  2. Remove the /passes reference from the documentation and only reference the web settings path

If keeping the web-only approach, update the text to:

"View your available guest passes in your Claude settings under 'Claude Code.'"

Impact

High - Prevents users from using a feature

Additional Context

  • Tested on latest Claude Code version
  • The web fallback path ("Claude settings under Claude Code") should also be verified as working
  • This issue was co-written with Claude Code
