Hi is there any option to insert a new line with Enter key instead of sending a message? In CJK languages enter key is used to confirm the input and the current key binding very often leads to an incomplete message mistakenly sent to claude.

Open a
claudesession and run the/terminal-setupcommand. That should configure newline support (with Shift + Enter) for the given terminal. The docs have been very useful to answer these kinds of questions, I recommend taking a look https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/claude-code/overview
The search bar doubles as an AI chat that RAGs over the docs.
@elvstejd Thanks, but I mean Enter to add a new line (and maybe shift+enter to submit.) The
/terminal-setupconfiguration still sends the message when I pressed enter, which is annoying.Oh, I see! You're aware of
/terminal-setupand shift+enter, but you mean adding an option to switch around the keys for send and newline.I agree its annoying to send incomplete messages by mistake!
In the meantime, I recommend pressing the Escape key inmediately to interrumpt the incomplete message. You can also _double_ tap the Escape key to go back further.
Thanks again @elvstejd. I'll add this issue as a feature request. (I thought reopening this issue triggers the triage action again but it turned out I don't have access to reopen it 🤷)
