Ask Claude a Question Without Generating Code?

Is there a shortcut key to ask Claude a question without it generating code? It's a bit laboursome to have to type: "don't write code, just answer the question". Something like /ask perhaps? (Since /q is taken by "quit" already).

Or is there a way to set up my own macros like this, that can do something like:

Macro: "%s.\nPlease only answer as a question, don't write code." -> bind to: "ask"
/ask "My question here."
