[Bug] GitHub CLI integration broken - Git operations failing with HTTP fallback

Resolved 💬 7 comments Opened Jan 16, 2026 by fwends Closed Feb 27, 2026

Bug Description
We've always used the CLI always. Why are you changing how this works?
So please tell me, please explain to me what is wrong with Claude when it's very clear in all our documentation and that for 700 commits previously that it's never been a problem. Sudden on your new version, it's now forgotten how to use GitHub.

• You're right. Let me use the gh CLI:

So, why when I have skills agents claude MD, all of a sudden now I can't use Git because it says it can't resolve Git or connect to Git. You know why it can't. connect to Git because it's trying to do it over HTTP rather than the CLI and it's always used the CLI so please explain to me why it now doesn't know how to use the GitHub CLI
