Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

I often to e.g. code reviews both from a repo level GitHub action, in addition to local code reviews from my Claude Code instance. While comments made by the action is done in the name of Claude, any comments added by Claude from my local cli is (obviously) done in my name. This can get confusing, since I do also manually add comments which gets mixed in with comments made by Claude, in my name.

Proposed Solution

Offer a way to impersonate the Claude[bot] account so that the writer of a comment is always accurate. This would enable agent communication across repo actions and local Claude Code, which enables many cool flows.

Priority

Medium - Would be very helpful

Use Case Example

  1. I'm working on a feature, raising a PR.
  2. Claude reviews and leaves comments from the GitHub action.
  3. I may add my own, manual, comments to the review to challenge/question.
  4. I address the review comments from my local Claude Code, but any resolutions/answers are made in my name. Claude can't distinguish what comments are made by me and by itself.
