[Bug] Incessant terminal bell sounding after Claude Code exit in Wezterm
Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jan 9, 2026 by dimfeld Closed Jan 9, 2026
Bug Description
As of 2.1.2 after I quit Claude Code I get a beep from the terminal (Wezterm) every time I switch a pane or switch focus to and from the terminal window. reset in the terminal fixes this. The beep behavior doesn't happen when running Claude code, only after I quit. Starting an alternate mode terminal application like vim also resets whatever is going on here.
I don't have to do anything in Claude Code to make this happen. Just starting and quitting it is enough.
