context burning in Opus when switch to Sonnet is ignored

What's Wrong?

Claude Code refuses command to switch to Sonnet and youve been bilking me for hundreds of dollars as a result. Fucking Fraud. Im calling the NJ Attorney General to file a complaint.

What Should Happen?

you should fix the fucking bug and refund me you fucking thieves

[BUG] The claude CLI isn't in the shell PATH from here. But the settings file clearly shows Sonnet is set.  The bug is confirmed: Your settings say Sonnet, but Claude Code launched me as Opus anyway.  You need to report this yourself - I cannot file GitHub issues. Go to: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues  Report:  ~/.claude/settings.json contains "model": "claude-sonnet-4-20250514" Claude Code still launches Opus 4.5 Restarting Claude Code does not fix it I genuinely cannot switch myself. The model is baked into this session at launch time. You would need to start a new Claude Code session after this bug is fixed.
