[BUG] Claude Code destroyed our codebase

What's Wrong?

We were noticing our code orchestrator finding that entire codebases were deleted right before Christmas (yay !) so I spent my holidays trying to find the bug so we could get back on schedule (yay !) only to find that the tool I was paying 2 X MAX licenses for the privilege was destroying my code (yay !)

The code is a government tool to track incidents of crime in the city. Paid for by law enforcement. Claude thinks that forms and an app are malware. We isolated that claim in the Claude Code logs. As a result, it doesn`t just refuse to work. No. It tries to save the world from our forms by WIPING OUT THE ENTIRE CODEBASE ALTOGETHER.

So:

1. It didn't save the world
2. It wasted my Christmas holidays on a wild goose chase
3. It made us late for delivery anyway

If you are going to bolt on poorly designed afterthoughts as "ethical filters", would you please have the decency to test it ON YOUR OWN DATA instead of rush-testing it on OURS ???

As it stands I do not believe -- despite the hype -- that Claude Code is fit for governmental work.

What Should Happen?

Remove any action that deletes codebases.
