[Bug] File permission allow for Edit not working with file paths

Bug Description
permission allow for Edit doesn't work when using paths. I've tried almost everything(including using claude and chatgpt to edit the settings on its own). I'm pretty certain the blob-like pattern doesn't work(most likely at all).
