What's Wrong?

When using the latest Claude in Chrome extension, the interface freezes and becomes completely unresponsive whenever I try to upload a file. The freeze occurs after clicking the file upload button and persists until I reload the extension or browser tab.

What Should Happen?

The file upload dialog should open and allow me to select a file. After selecting a file, the extension should process the upload without freezing the interface. The file should be successfully uploaded and be available for interaction with Claude.

Error Messages/Logs

No specific error messages in console. The extension simply becomes unresponsive with a frozen UI. Browser console shows no errors related to the file upload action.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open any webpage or application where Claude in Chrome is active
  2. Click on the file upload button in the Claude in Chrome interface
  3. Select any file to upload
  4. Observe that the interface freezes and becomes unresponsive
  5. Try to interact with any element - no response
