What's Wrong?

BUG REPORT: Claude Desktop Projects - Filesystem MCP Freeze

Environment

• OS: Windows
• Claude Desktop: [votre version]
• MCP Server: filesystem
• Target Path: D:\Documents\ADAPA LES ORIGINES\OBSIDIAN Coffres-forts

Issue

Complete freeze (indefinite hang) when Projects attempts ANY filesystem
operation via MCP, including list_allowed_directories.

Working

• ✅ Claude Code: filesystem access works
• ✅ Normal conversations: filesystem access works
• ❌ Projects: complete freeze, no error message, no timeout

Timeline

• Previously: Partial functionality (PDF read OK, Obsidian write = freeze)
• Currently: All filesystem operations freeze from first attempt
• Persists across project deletion/recreation

Impact

Projects + persistent PDF context + Obsidian write workflow is impossible.

Expected

Filesystem MCP should work identically in Projects as in normal conversations.
