Performance Degradation: Keyboard Input Responsiveness Decreases Over Time

Bug Description
Keyboard entry gets laggier and jankier the longer I use Claude Code. In particular hitting the delete button can cease working for up to 30 seconds at a time, even while typing new characters works intermittently.
