Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I'm experiencing a "Limit reached" error that's preventing me from using
Claude Code, even though I have $19 in available credits and am within my
spend limits.

Expected Behavior:
I should be able to use Claude Code while I have available credits and
haven't exceeded my spend limits.

Actual Behavior:
Getting repeated "Limit reached" messages:
Limit reached resets Dec 18 at 5am (Asia/Riyadh)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Have available credits ($19 in my account)
  2. Try to send messages to Claude Code
  3. Receive limit reached error
  4. /login command works successfully
  5. Still cannot use the service despite successful authentication

Environment:

  • Timezone: Asia/Riyadh
  • Reset time shown: Dec 18 at 5 am
  • Credits available: $19
  • Within spend limits: Yes

Additional Context:
I can successfully log in (/login works), but cannot send any messages or
use the service. The limit appears to be rate-based rather than
credit-based, which is preventing me from using my available credits.
