This has just stopped working for me also, it linked fine with 1.0.0, but now in 1.0.4 it refuses to relink after I changed some things.

I have this issue too. I see it "connected" when looking at /status but when using /ide the IDE doesn't appear. tried this in cursor and windsurf, neither work.

The IDE integration features don't work at all now.
using WSL2 btw.

this happened in 1.0.4 @ashwin-ant

I just installed it and yeah it does not work, the extension is installed properly and visible within Cursor, but it says there's no available IDEs detected within claude.

  1. Connect to WSL: Use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+P and click Connect to WSL, or enter code .. in the WSL terminal to launch the IDE. Your IDE will then connect to WSL, and you'll see WSL: Ubuntu displayed in the bottom-left corner.
  1. Install Claude Code Extension: In the IDE's extensions panel, install Claude Code for VS Code for WSL (not locally). Once installed, you'll see the Claude icon in the top-right corner. Click the icon to automatically open Claude Code and connect it to the IDE.
