[Bug] Claude Code freezes and blocks terminal creation until VSCode restart

Question

**Bug Description**
claude code froze and I had to restart vscode to be able to create terminals again.

I couldn't scroll, and vscode became very slow. I closed the terminal window (inside vscode) but then couldn't get a command prompt in a new terminal.
