What's Wrong?
When using The Claude Code vs code extension, it will cause infinite re-renders when trying to interact with any other part of the IDE. Whenever claude code is running in the extension, trying to evn hover the mouse on other files in the open editor or interacting with other open files will cause rerenders that make the IDE mostly unusable
What Should Happen?
The extension should be able to run without rendering affecting any other part of the IDE

- Run the Clause Code exetnsion in VS Code or Curosr
- Have Claude do some work and click on text box in extension
- During the task, try to interact with the rest of the IDE (hover mouse over file explorer, try to click on or scroll through a README, etc)

I wish someone from Anthropic or @openai would at least acknowledge this issue which has been persistent in the CLI. I've had to severely limit my use or constantly switch between models in fresh sessions to at least buy me 5 to 10 minutes of peace before it begins again.
This is a big regression that is causing me to use the cursor agent significantly more. Claude code is almost unusable in Cursor
I'm exhibiting the exact same behavior with Claude Code 2.0.55, Claude VSCode Extension 2.0.55, and Cursor 2.1.39 on macOS.
If you try to work on any other tab while Claude Code is "thinking" - scrollbars are flickering, mouse cursor is flickering, and trying to select text with the mouse results in the page being scrolled down.

This behavior makes the IDE pretty much unusable while Claude Code is running.
I wonder if it's related to issue #769 in any way.
