[BUG] --model not matching /model

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Nov 11, 2025 by cartond Closed Jan 13, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When I use --model to specify a model (e.g. --model haiku, /model doesn't reflect it, but /status and /cost do.

What Should Happen?

I want to be sure users are getting the model they request and the /cost is accurate. Using the debug mode does show the requests going to the right model.
