[BUG] Getting "API Error: Connection error." Nearly every other prompt after update to v2.0.30

What's Wrong?

I updated from v2.0.9 to v2.0.30 and ever since, just about every other prompt I get "API Erorr: Connection error." and that's the end of the session, it's not recoverable afterwards, any attempt to do anything just results in that error again. I have to open a new session and manually enter everything relevant from the last session and that will get me maybe one or two prompts before I encounter the error again which renders that session useless. Repeat... I've been using Claude Code since early September and I have never seen this error before until updating to v2.0.30. Now it's made Claude Code unusable for development or anything that requires more than one or two prompts. A typical case will be: I give Claude Code a prompt, like "We've just made a bunch of changes to such and such code, but I'm seeing now that feature X isn't working as intended. Can you help debug this?" Claude will "think" and I can see the thinking process and at the end of the thinking process Claude will have said something like "Wait, let me look at such and such again to see if there's something wrong with how we're calling function x." and then it just hangs indefinitely and the seconds countdown until there's the "API Error: Connection error." and it retries and keeps getting the same error. There is no issue with my internet. I have checked the stats and have other processes running which are using the internet which are un-interrupted. I'm doing nothing different to what I was doing when it was working fine under v2.0.9 and I literally never saw this error before.

What Should Happen?

When I enter a prompt, Claude should complete the requested task/equiry without a resulting "API Error: Connection error."

Error Messages/Logs

API Error: Connection error.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Claude Code and create a prompt to begin a dev task. Continue to enter prompts regarding the task at hand. After one or two more you will encounter "API Error: Connection error." and be unable to recover.
