[BUG] RISC-V unsupported?

Resolved 💬 10 comments Opened Nov 3, 2025 by joakimeriksson Closed Feb 3, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When I run Claude-code on RISC-V / ubuntu 24.04 I now and then get this error:
"This error originated either by throwing inside of an async function without a catch block, or by rejecting a promise which was not handled with .catch(). The promise rejected with the reason:
Error: Unsupported architecture: riscv64"

So somehow there is something crashing Claude a bit now and then - and sometimes (not often) I even get segmentation fault.

Have Claude-code been tested on RISC-V?

What Should Happen?

Claude should not have problems on RISC-V architecture (riscv64)
