[Bug] Terminal locks up in infinite loop when interrupting with Esc during checkpoint restore

Bug Description
Just ran into the flashing issue again where claude code CLI locks you out of the terminal while 'flibbertgibberting' and just loop refreshes while its thinking or whatever ... back just in time for halloween. It was in this session and I believe it happened when I hit Esc to interrupt claude and restore a previous checkpoint.
