[GitHub integration] Cannot create repo or push files from claude.ai chat (403, then 404)

What were you trying to do?

Create a new private repo and push a project to it from a claude.ai chat, using the GitHub connector.

What happened instead?

Creating a repo returned 403 “Resource not accessible by integration” even with all tools set to “Always allow”. After I created the repo manually, pushing files asked for authentication that did not complete. Reading the new repo then returned 404.
