[BUG] Desktop Auto-fix drops approval review bodies; get_status hides other bound PRs' Auto-fix state
Environment
- Claude desktop app 2.37337.1, macOS, Code tab
- "Auto-fix pull requests" turned on per PR (
set_monitorwithauto_fixandaddress_comments)
1. An approval's review body never wakes the session
Auto-fix forwards inline review comments, PR conversation comments, failing checks, merge conflicts, and the body of a review whose state is COMMENTED or CHANGES_REQUESTED. The body of an APPROVED review is dropped, even when it isn't empty. When an approval also has inline comments, only the inline comments arrive.
Many teams approve with their non-blocking notes in the review body ("approved, but consider X"). Those notes never reach the session, so nobody acts on them until someone opens the PR. In our case eight approval bodies from two reviewers, across three PRs with Auto-fix on, produced no event over two days, while every inline comment and conflict on the same PRs did.
Steps
- Bind a PR to a Code session and turn Auto-fix on.
- As another member of the repo, submit an Approve review with a body and no inline comments.
- No
<ci-monitor-event>arrives.
Expected: a non-empty approval body is forwarded too. It could be its own kind that tells the session to reply to or consider the notes rather than to push a fix.
The review filter in the bundled AutoFixEngine is new Set(["CHANGES_REQUESTED","COMMENTED"]), so this looks deliberate. It still drops the part of a review that teams use for non-blocking feedback.
2. get_status doesn't show the Auto-fix switch of other bound PRs
When several PRs are bound to one session (for example a stacked PR), get_status returns the monitor switches only for the main PR. Each otherBoundPrs entry carries only number, repo and state. Those PRs are monitored (their conflict and comment events do arrive), but neither the session nor any UI built on get_status can tell whether Auto-fix is on for them. So sessions report the wrong state, and users turn it on again to be safe.
Expected: each otherBoundPrs entry includes its monitor flags.
Related: #100092 (the PR bar shows Auto-fix unchecked while a Remote Control session's monitor is on).
