What's Wrong?
claude for windows: Version 2.37337.1 (ba51ab), Oct 13, 2026, 4:04 PM.
After clicking the new button wait a few seconds and very irritating "video fragments" appear.
when clicking somewhere in the new workspace "fireworks" appear.
this happens in both themes caulde light and claude dark

What Should Happen?
If the described behavior is intentional please add a settings option to disable it

well, i found out it's not a bug but ssome intentional animation. So please add a settings option to disable it.
unfortunately I cannot add or remove a label - only the title.
Same animation on macOS, and the mascot specifically.
Confirming this on macOS (Darwin 27.0.0), Claude desktop app — the issue is currently labeled
platform:windows, but it isn't Windows-only.Every time I open a new session with +, an animated pixel mascot (Clawd) appears above the message composer, bottom-right. It goes away once the session has content, but on a fresh empty page there's no way to turn it off, and there's no preference for it in Settings.
Seconding the request here for a settings option to disable the new-workspace animations — ideally one that also covers the mascot, not just the background fragments.
Related: #102387 reports the same thing on claude.ai/code, including "an animated pixel mascot sits right next to the input".
