Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Dictating with Wispr Flow into the Claude Code chat input in the VS Code extension inserts nothing at all. No text appears.

Dictation into a normal VS Code editor tab in the same window works (with "editor.accessibilitySupport": "auto"), so Wispr Flow and VS Code itself are fine. Only the Claude Code chat panel (a webview) doesn't receive the text.

What Should Happen?

Dictated text is inserted into the chat input at the cursor, the same as in VS Code editor tabs and other apps.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. On Windows 11, install Wispr Flow and the Claude Code VS Code extension.
  2. Set "editor.accessibilitySupport": "auto" in VS Code settings and reload.
  3. Click into a normal editor tab and dictate with Wispr Flow: text appears (works).
  4. Click into the Claude Code chat input and dictate the same way.
  5. Nothing appears in the chat input.
