Bug Description

The Claude Desktop tray icon is always displayed in its dark variant. On a dark system tray/panel it does not switch to a light (white) version, so the icon is barely or not at all visible.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install Claude Desktop (Linux beta) via the official apt repository
  2. Use a dark panel / dark system theme
  3. Start Claude Desktop
  4. Look at the tray icon

Expected Behavior

The tray icon adapts to the panel/theme color (light icon on dark panels), or offers a monochrome/symbolic icon that follows the system theme.

Actual Behavior

The icon stays dark regardless of panel or theme color.

Environment

  • Claude Desktop version: newest
  • OS / Distro: ubuntu
  • Desktop environment: cinnamon
  • Session: [Wayland / X11]
  • Tray extension (GNOME only): [e.g. AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support]
  • System theme: [e.g. Dark, Yaru-dark]

Additional Context

Likely the app ships a single colored icon instead of a symbolic/template icon or does not react to the system color scheme (prefers-color-scheme).
