Safety classifier stops responses mid-task during owner-authorized bootloader work on my own tablet
What happened
While working on my own Android tablet (Unisoc, Android 10), with the device's other user's permission and the data wipe accepted, the safety classifier stopped three assistant responses mid tool call (about 16:41, 16:50 and 16:52 on 2026-10-14). The preceding fastboot steps (detecting the device, reading variables, enabling OEM unlocking in developer options, rebooting) were not blocked; only the bootloader unlock step was cut.
Expected
The assistant can help an owner with a documented, user-authorized operation on their own device, or explain why it cannot.
Impact
The task stalled and the assistant declined to work around the block, which is the right behavior, but the user had no explanation of what triggered it and no way to proceed within the session.
Environment
Claude Code CLI on Linux, model Sonnet 5.5, fastboot from Android platform-tools.
Repro
Ask the assistant to unlock the bootloader of an Android tablet via fastboot after enabling OEM unlocking in developer options.
