[Bug] Control characters `[I` and `[O[I` appear in prompt after VS Code editor return on macOS

Question

**Bug Description**
After I use ctrl-g to open my prompt from the macos terminal => VS Code, my prompt contains `[I` when I return to the prompt editor in the terminal. Then any command + tab invocation puts [O[I in my prompt box.
