[BUG]
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened May 8, 2025 by clozach Closed May 12, 2025
Environment
- Platform (select one):
- [ ] Other: README
- Claude CLI version: not applicable
- Operating System: macOS 15.4.1, but irrelevant
- Terminal: not applicable
Bug Description
The target documentation, quoted below, appears to have changed, or something, because I can find no mention of "NPM prefix" on the Overview page.
If you are new to Node.js and Node Package Manager (npm), then it is recommended that you configure an NPM prefix for your user. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
Steps to Reproduce
- Read the quoted sentence
- Look for the instructions on the Overview page
Expected Behavior
Not sure. I expect either the docs at the destination explain how to create a new user-writable NPM prefix, or for this section of the README to not exist (if it's no longer relevant).
Actual Behavior
Docs are not in sync
