What happened
- Mid-session, a survey prompt popped up asking whether I would share my transcript to help improve Claude. It is the same kind of prompt as the "How is Claude doing this session?" rating.
- I answered yes. The app showed: "Couldn't share transcript."
- I then ran
/feedbackto report it. Submitting failed with a server 403. - I ran
/login("Login successful") and tried/feedbackagain. Still 403.
So neither the transcript share nor the feedback channel used to report it works on this account, and a fresh login does not change that.
Expected
Either the share succeeds, or the prompt is not offered to an account that is not allowed to share. If /feedback is refused, the error should say why.
Environment
- Claude Code 2.1.296 (installed CLI version)
- Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26300
- The session was running in a Claude Code surface other than the plain terminal, and was mirrored to claude.ai/code
- Long session with several screenshots in context and MCP servers attached
Notes
The 403 surviving a re-login suggests an account-level refusal rather than an expired token. I do not know of any setting on the account that would block sharing.
Written with Claude Code on the reporter's behalf.
