Follow-up to #87322, as requested there: the issue is still present on a version newer than 2.9939.2.

Environment

  • Claude Desktop 2.31226.1 (Code tab), macOS (Darwin 27.0.0)
  • Host keyboard input source: French AZERTY
  • Simulated device: iPhone 17, app running in Expo Go SDK 57

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the embedded iOS Simulator pane in the Code tab.
  2. Focus a text field in the app and type on the physical AZERTY keyboard.

Expected: characters match the AZERTY layout (pressing the key labelled "a" types "a").
Actual: input is mapped as US QWERTY ("a" types "q", etc.).

The same device in the native Simulator.app window types correctly with AZERTY, so the issue is specific to the embedded pane.

The text action of the simulator tool showed the same symptom in this session ("jai" was entered as "Jqi"), possibly related to #85132.
