Subject: Claude Code cloud sessions: no way to use multiple GitHub accounts
Description:
I use Claude Code in the Claude app with two GitHub accounts (e.g. personal and work). Cloud sessions only allow one connected GitHub account, and the repo picker only shows repos owned by accounts or orgs where the Claude GitHub app is installed for that connection.
That leaves no good option:
Disconnecting and reconnecting GitHub every time I switch projects is slow and error-prone.
Adding my main account as a collaborator on the second account’s repos doesn’t make them appear.
Transferring repos or creating an organization just to work around this isn’t reasonable for many users.
Locally this isn’t a problem, because git handles multiple accounts through SSH keys. In cloud sessions there’s no equivalent.
Request:
Let me connect multiple GitHub accounts to one Claude account and pick which one to use per session or repo.
Show repos from all connected accounts, including repos I can access as a collaborator, in the repo picker.
Other dev tools such as VS Code and JetBrains IDEs already support multiple GitHub accounts, and this is a common setup for anyone with separate work and personal GitHub accounts.
