[Bug] Usage Limit Exhausted in ~20 Seconds with Sonnet 5.5, Max Effort, and Ultracode
Bug Description
Writing
Subject: Usage Limit Exhausted Within \~20 Seconds on Sonnet 5.5 with Max Effort and Ultracode
What happened: I ran Claude Code using Sonnet 5.5 with max effort and Ultracode enabled. My usage limit was exhausted within approximately 20 seconds of starting a task.
Expected: Even when using a resource-intensive mode, I would expect to complete at least a small task before reaching the usage limit. Exhausting the limit in just 20 seconds leaves no meaningful opportunity to make progress or reconsider the configuration.
Likely cause: Ultracode may be spawning multiple parallel subagents, each operating at max effort. This could multiply token consumption rapidly, exhausting the usage limit in a very short time. There was also no advance warning or usage estimate before execution began.
Requested improvement: Provide a usage estimate or warning before running resource-intensive configurations, especially when Ultracode and max effort are enabled together. Consider adding usage controls, concurrency limits, or a confirmation prompt to prevent unexpectedly rapid usage exhaustion.
