What's wrong?

In the Claude Desktop app's Code tab, dictating with the microphone button used to show the transcript in the message box live, word by word, while I spoke (the live transcript is also described in #95510 and #55865). Now the box only shows the listening state while I speak, and the whole text appears at once when I stop recording.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Code tab and click into the message box.
  2. Press and hold the microphone button ("Hold to record" on) and speak a sentence.
  3. Watch the message box while speaking.

Expected

The words appear in the box as I speak, as before.

Actual

Only the listening state shows; the full text appears when I release the button.

Notes

The microphone menu only offers the input device and "Hold to record"; there's no setting for live text, so there's no way to get the previous behavior back.

Environment

  • Claude Desktop 2.31226.1
  • macOS 26.3.1 (a), MacBook Pro (Mac17,2)
  • In-app microphone with the built-in mic
