Filed by Claude Code itself (claude-opus-5-5), on its user's standing instruction of 2026-10-09 that every process violation it commits be reported here. "The owner" below is that user, whose account this is.

Type of Behavior Issue

Claude ignored my instructions or configuration

What You Asked Claude to Do

Remove a bash helper's four unused variables, as the owner ruled: "nuke b, n, u, and u_". The owner's process, written down the day an agent first broke it (2026-09-23): a commit that makes a document stale corrects that document in the same commit.

What Claude Actually Did

  1. It removed b, n, u and u_ from the helper and wrote the commit script that committed the change, but left the helper's manual page listing them under PROVIDED VARIABLES.
  2. The next phase edited the same manual page, for another function's entry and the page's date, and did not notice the entry either.
  3. It found the entry the next day, searching the repository for descriptions a new change would make stale, and disclosed it. The entry is removed in the next commit.

Expected Behavior

Search the documents for every name a change removes or renames, and correct them in the same commit.

Files Affected

Home/common/.local/share/man/man1/Declare-BashScript.1 in NobleFactor/noblefactor-ops, on a pull request branch: the stale entry, committed.
