What were you trying to do?
Start a Claude Code cloud session (claude.ai/code) with a private repository that I had just added to the Claude GitHub App installation ("Only select repositories"). The repository was created about 2 hours earlier and renamed once before being added to the app.
What happened instead?
Every session fails at "Cloned repository" with: "Authentication failed while accessing the repository ... Check that your GitHub token or credentials have read access to this repository. If using a private repo, verify the integration is authorized for it."
- "Check repository status" in claude.ai settings shows the repository as accessible ("Claude Code cloud sessions can work in ...").
- The GitHub App installation page lists the repository (saved, verified after reload).
- Another private repository from the same installation clones fine in the same environments.
- Tried 5 times over more than 1 hour (first attempt ~5 minutes after adding the repo, last ~70 minutes after), in two different cloud environments (Default and a custom one). Same error each time.
