[Desktop, Code tab] Browser pane tabs close after 30 minutes of not viewing a session; no way to turn it off
What happens
If I don't view a session for 30 minutes, its Browser pane tabs close. When I return, they're gone.
I typically have 10 to 20 tabs open at once across my sessions, including to-do lists for each project, so I can't revisit each one every half hour. Eating a meal, taking a call, or stepping out of the house is enough to lose them. Constantly asking Claude to reopen my tabs is genuinely frustrating.
Cause (from the app log and app code)
The app runs a fixed 30-minute idle timer on each session's preview:
[WarmLifecycle:preview] Starting idle timeout for local_…: 1800s
[WarmLifecycle:preview] Idle timeout reached, disconnecting local_…
In the app code, previewIdleManager uses idleTimeoutMs: () => 18e5 with timeoutOnHidden: true. When the timer runs out, it calls teardownSessionPreview. The timer is skipped only while the session has a dev server running. The value is hard-coded, so no setting can change it.
Expected
Browser pane tabs stay open until I close them. If the timer exists to save memory, please make it a setting with an option to turn it off.
