[BUG] [Desktop/Windows] Remote Control sessions archived after ~30 min idle; "prevent sleep" only held in 5 min windows

What's Wrong?

Environment

• Claude Desktop 2.31226.0, Windows 11
• Remote Control enabled on local Code-tab sessions
• OS set to never sleep, Desktop "prevent sleep while open" enabled

What happens
Remote Control sessions intermittently drop and show up as Archived in claude.ai/code without being archived manually. Re-enabling Remote Control from the desktop fixes it until the next drop.

What the logs show

1. Idle timeout on local sessions:

[WarmLifecycle:preview] Starting idle timeout for local_<id>: 1800s
Remote Control is only re-enabled when a message is sent locally:
Enabling remote control for session local_<id> -> bridge_state: "connected".
An RC-attached session seems to get spun down after 30 min idle, which ends and archives the remote session.

1. Keep-awake is not continuous. Every claim is remote_tools and is released after ~300 s:

[keep-awake] stopped (id=N): last claim remote_tools released
[remote-tools-device] keep-awake released (quiet, held 300015ms)

1. As a result the machine still suspends (Modern Standby) despite the setting:

suspend: polling stopped, roughly every 90 min, with hourly summary windows of 5.4M to 6.2M ms.

What Should Happen?

Expected

• A session with Remote Control enabled is not idle-reaped, or at least is not archived and reattaches automatically.
• "Prevent sleep" holds a continuous power request while RC sessions are active, including against Modern Standby.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Leave claude app running with claude code open which is connected via remote control over night
2. Notice that when looking via browser the sessions may be archived or simply disconnected. They may also duplicate on enabling remote control on the PC again.
